Current Practice: I have practiced psychiatry for 20 years, and I am currently concentrating on expending my private practice with a goal to assist clients to live better lives and heal from their traumas.

I grew up in Poland, and became a nurse in 1988.  My upbringing allowed me to learn compassion for other people.  Working through a healing process of my own personal issues and relationships has given me the benefit of getting in touch with who I am on a deep spiritual level.  It was working through my own healing process that began my interest in psychology and psychiatry, because I learned how my own mind, thoughts, and belief patterns were playing out in my life and relationships.  My passion for the field became more engrained when I discovered the abilities we have to change our lives, change who we are, simply by connecting with ourselves on a deep level, by identifying with our inner beauty and truest potentials and by giving ourselves the gifts of compassion, self-love, and self-care.  Obtaining a degree in psychiatry opened the doors for me to get in touch with my gifts, talents, and abilities to help facilitate the healing process in others.

Several of my previous positions provided me with the opportunity to work with individuals with severe and chronic mental illnesses, individuals in mental health crisis because of different reasons, individuals experiencing homelessness,  poverty, and discrimination.  This has provided me with a tremendous amount of sensitivity and understanding to their circumstances and experiences, and I feel this has placed me in a good position to continue helping individuals who have experienced difficult challenges in their lives and  discrimination.
